ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Truth be told, I was caught with the wrong lens (the 10-20mm sigma) on a rare evening out in London, so these aren't as crisp as some previous evening photo expeditions. Despite that, I think these still convey the feeling of Soho and Chinatown at night -- the mix of working folk, theatrics, and revelers outside of pubs. Mostly it was just good to be out shaking the dust/rust off of night shooting. In two other countries: The last time I was out with the wrong lens, and one of my favorite evening sets. Actually, this set is probably my favorite. Related: More chinatowns and more black and white on this site.

I dunno. I think the rough edges of the sigma complements the B&W nicely.
Going through a B&W phase myself at the moment, I really like this series. I think the non-crispness actually adds to this style of photography.
The last picture is my favorite.
I really like this series. I think that the blur of the lens adds to the atmosphere of the photographs. This effect is especially seen in the last one. Lovely work as always.
J'aime beaucoup la dernière avec ce regard noir dans l'ombre !
Each time I stop by I enjoy your photos, they are always most fascinating to witness, thanks.

Rion, this is definitely a triumph over the limitations of the lens. A beautiful, very ambient series. Nicely done.
Rion, I don't think that I have ever commented in the years and years I have been looking at your photos, but I have to say these are my most absolute favorite shots ever!!! I think the wrong lens was the best happy accident ever!
