ADDITIONAL NOTES:

I really wanted to see David Byrne's Playing the Building at the Battery Maritime Building in NYC when I saw Youngna's photo 15 months ago. (But alas, I lived in Paris at the time.)

Then a few days ago, I saw that the installation had been brought to the Roundhouse here in London from Aug 8-31. And though I'm guessing that playing one building is not like playing another, I was thrilled to finally go see/hear the installation in person.

Here's a 4 minute video about the project, via the Roundhouse. Previously on this site: more museums, and from 5 years ago(!), perhaps my favorite installation ever.

i don't think your photos have grown over the years, i find the individual shots to be lacking of substance, with no artistic delivery of poignancy. i hope you will start to push yourself so we can see some exciting shots.

A friend once told a story of a panel of jazz greats at the Monterey Jazz Festival. Among the other historically renowned Jazz artists at the table was Herbie Hancock. Each member of the panel was asked what they were up to at the time. When it came time for Hancock to answer the question one of the other members of the panel quipped (and I imagine, head shaking with a smile on his face), "Herbie. That guy. He's always up to somethin' crazy".

Same can be said for David Byrne. Awesome.
