ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Above, the audio-video tour view of Chateau de Chenonceau. From the old keep and the remains of the fortified medieval mill to the garden of Diane de Poitiers (who became chatelaine in 1547) you will discover the Renaissance and the Grand Siècle in a new way. You will walk in the footsteps of Voltaire, Marivaux, Montesquieu, Buffon and Rousseau before perhaps returning to your personal iPod to continue with music to the restaurant of the Orangerie. For just 4€ each, we were able to rent video ipods loaded with a room by room audio-video tour of the Chateau, complete with music, sound effects, images, and about 90 minutes worth of detailed history. Or for 3€, you can pre-download a 45 minute tour from their site to play on your own ipod when you get there.
