looking down, looking up: paris without its people

17 September 07 @ 13:34
This is a wonderful view of Paris! Normally, I mentally picture Paris full of people, but I also remember the first time I was there looking around and just seeing the structure of the city. I really like that first shot with the reflected building in the puddle. For some reason, I find it poignant.

Without the cars and people, it seems so quiet.

I love this photos, as always. It makes me sad though to know it will be a long time before I can go to Europe again. I love it there. For now, Rion will let me explore it vicariously. Thanks Rion!

I like the stairs with the shadow... beautiful one.

Ah, Russian Orthodox icons and books... Are those books or stickers with the writing that reads "love each other"? The French do love Russian culture, and it's thoroughly reciprocated. Neither are fond of the American culture, eh? Beautiful photography and congrats on the baby!
