ADDITIONAL NOTES:
l'Arche de la Defense: This signature building was designed by Danish architect Johann Otto von Spreckelsen, and was completed by his associate, French architect Paul Andreu after Spreckelsen's death in 1987. It was inaugurated in the summer of 1989. From Wikipedia: The Arche is almost a perfect cube (width: 108m, height: 110m, depth: 112m; it has been suggested that the structure looks like a four-dimensional hypercube - a tesseract - projected onto the three-dimensional world)...Located "just outside" of Paris, la Grande Arche is at the west end of Metro 1, where skyscrapers mark the city's corporate district, la Defense. On a Monday at 10am, there are more pigeons than people on the stairs, but by lunchtime, the people make yet another grand texture of the building.
More buildings, more monuments, and more architecture on this site. Visually related posts: here, here, here and here.

Love the 6th photo. Another nice set.
#7 and #9 are my favorites. #9 is in my opinion really amazing.
Excellent set. Really like the composition on #1.
I am always amazed by this everytime I see a picture of it. I think the last image really gives you an idea of the size.
You have been capturing great pictures of many of my favorite places in the world...I am a fan of your site. Many congratulations!
this is an amazing building design. Looks like every office has a window. I wish we had more interesting places in orange county.
What an interesting building. I don't think I've seen pictures of it before but I'm going to go search some out. I especially love #7.
