ADDITIONAL NOTES:
above, a bride and groom, surrounded by their families and friends on the steps of the saint etienne du mont church in the 5th arrondissement (across from the Pantheon). after cheers and photos on the steps, the couple climbed into an old volkswagon beetle, waving to their loved ones before being chauffeured away.also, see a beautiful photograph of them getting into the car, by Mike on flickr. in this one shot, he got a completely different story from the moment.
more of the saint etienne du mont on google.fr and paris5eme.com. plus, more weddings on this site.
I love the last photo, in particular. The subdued colors are marvelous.
it's almost like they were in a different time. it all seems dreamlike... the digital cameras in two of the pictures bring the event back to this time. Beautiful.
that military outfit is awesome.
and i agree with that 3rd comment on the cameras.
Totally timeless and beautifully captured.
Timeless indeed... particularly when I saw (just the CURVES!) of the VW. Sepia tone them, mar the edges & corners a bit, and anyone would think this was a distant relative's wedding in the 40's. Once you photoshop in some Graphlexes to replace the digicams, that is :-)
Like something from the 50s, what a beautiful wedding.
I agree with B. I could swear those are photos from the 50s but then seeing the digital camera in one of the shots bring me back to the present. Beautiful.
What's the font you use in the header?
the last picture belongs in a magazine or in a picture frame. lovely set!!
Congratulations to the lovely couple! And I hear the bachelor party was the bomb!! Nice touch to be wisked away in the VW Bug.
