ADDITIONAL NOTES:

That first shot might be one of my favorites in a while. --- above, on the blocks between hudson and greenwich in beautiful tribeca. more textures, more neighborhoods, more graffiti, more downtown, more new york city, and more me on this site.

years of gotham layers on the worn streets of tribeca

Nice work! Especially like the first, the self portrait and the pointie shoe shot.

~I continue to appreciate your street photography...One of the main reasons, well, mainly because your street images never appear to be intrusive nor paprazzi-like (hidden)...and your commentary on the top shot being one of your favs adds depth to the understanding of what makes you tick as a fotag and what you find eye-catching and worthy of making indelible through photography~

indeed- that first shot is beautiful.

I like the reflection in the Puddle and the Mirror shot best.

I am partial to the 2nd photo. I love the layers of texture and imagery. Cobblestone, nicely exposed sky reflection, building, and the murky bottom of the puddle make a complex collage of contrasting images. Very nice, Rion.

This series really spoke to me... it was rather gritty yet beautiful. You have captured small details that the usual passerby probably doesn't even notice. I loved the first shot, the puddle shot & the pointy shoes are gorgeous. Are those your feet? :)

rion you keep rockin. this is a very nice series, one of your nicest out of the last ones. the first image is great, the womans position in the shot and her looking back. i also like the details in your other shots like the jack daniels self-portrait.
the last "shoe" shot is the one i don't really find interesting. doesn't tell me anything personally.

Beautiful series, the top image is outstanding.

Like the first and second - as though the pavement's fallen away.
16 June 05 @ 12:31
surreal - the cobblestone def. my favorite

love the reflection in the water. really beautiful!

Really nice stuff...Nice window, and woman walking.

i love the reflection of you with the jack daniels sign - is that an endorsement? ;) but my favorite has to be the cobblestone street and puddle reflection. lovely.

first is brilliant. second even better. great site!

Absolutely *sick*. Each shot is a fully composed canvas with thoughtful depth, expression, color choice and emotional profundity. The mystery glass (? i've always wondered) bubbles of the final shot come together with the structured chaos of the concrete cracks... layered historical textures all intersect to bring together a perfect swatch of the triangle below canal and those feet let us know you felt it too. Brava!
