in onjuku's only burgerjoint, mr. kanjo drinks sake with mr. udari at 3pm in the afternoon. with regional japanese slang, he introduces himself as "white kanjo," because of his hair color. (beyond that, we can't follow any of the animated conversation that has them laughing so hard.) longtime locals in the small coastal town, both men are a few drinks in when we get there, while emiko yoshino, who runs the place, has gigglefits from their antics.
