ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Photobloggers at The Gates 2: the second of three sets featuring new york city photobloggers who came out with me to photograph the gates in central park.

above, friends joe holmes of joe's nyc, chris glenn of 114th.net, adam pantozzi of tozzer.net, and our newest SF-photoblogger-import-to-NYC (at least until frank kolodziej gets into town next month), kamau mucoki of forota.net. special thank yous to these gents for being in front of the camera instead of behind it.

more portraits, more photobloggers at the snowball fight, and (if you're not sick of them yet) the gates unfurling, in the sun and in the snow with mike epstein...

heh heh, we'll see. ;)
all (i think) were taken with the 18-55mm, except #2 looks like the 85mm f1.8.

haha! in my native kikuyu, the term for being photographed literally translates into "being beaten a picture". so usually little kids who are not used to having pictures taken are usually a little apprehensive. beautiful pictures, though and even better concept.
26 February 05 @ 23:30
#2 is definitely my fav... the gates work best out of focus, I think :)
27 February 05 @ 18:27
kamau -- i will never think of "being photographed" in quite the same way again! :) good to see you again, we miss you out here in SF.
