ADDITIONAL NOTES:

as a new yorker, i thought i'd never want to get near times square on new year's eve, but now that we live 3 blocks away, there was just no way to pass it up. i have to say that it really was amazing (and not as claustrophobic as you might imagine). warm weather, nice cops, relatively orderly crowds, the absolute best confetti storm, and watching mtv's antics was a good way to pass time. (more here at stereogum.)

visit the Tag Along Project for the 7-hour play by play -- i flickr'd the entire night at my moblog -- and for more action, my partner-in-crime got some great shots at meccapixel. HAPPY 2005!!!

Mine was spent in Trafalger Square....but oh how I miss Times Square. Next year maybbe. You captured it perfectly.
