ADDITIONAL NOTES:

i recently joined volunteers who pet cats and walked dogs at the BARC Shelter in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (on Wythe, two blocks off of Bedford).

I met dogs like sweet Buffy and A-Rod who are waiting patiently to be loved and adopted. there are lots of cats who need homes and want to be scratched behind their ears. there's even paul the rooster, who was rescued a year ago.

make a difference in the lives of these loving faces! if you're in nyc, please volunteer to exercise and socialize with one of these dogs or cats, or do not hesitate to donate to the shelter. donations go toward the cost of food, board, vet exams, litter, toys, leashes, collars, training crates, etc...

adult animals need love and adoption, too! more BARC photos at billburg.com.

Wait a minute... what kind of dog is #3?... . I love these! So cute and great photos as always. I especially love it because I've recently moved back to NYC from Northern CA and I specifically wanted to find an organization like this IN BROOKLYN. So, thanks much for doing the footwork, uh, paw work. Your site is my very favorite of its kind.

Great photos, and a great cause. My Boo Radley and George Bailey were both saved from going to the pound.
